Oh my goodness -- arts and crafts are limited only by your imagination! Look around you! You can do things about the seasons changing using the leaves and things outside. You can imitate a particular artist's style. You could try some American Indian projects. You could just let your child explore his/her interests. You could just use paper, crayons and scissors. Set some art supplies in front of a 10 year old and it's doubtful they'll need anything else from you.

You can work arts and crafts into other lessons. For example, say you were teaching history and were learning about the pyramids. You could use construction paper to build your own pyramids. If you were learning about flowers, enhance your lesson by having your child use colored paper to build flowers of her own.
Instead of making it a seperate thing, why not put it together with other things you are already learning? It not only covers the creative side, but also and most importantly enhances the lessons you are teaching and makes learning more fun!

Try craft stores. Some of them sell kits. That is what I use for my 8year old. Or check to see if there is a Homeschooling support group in your area. They are usually very helpful and full of good ideas.

be creative. Bird houses, drawing, I am homeschooled and it is always fun to just get clay out and make something or make a bir house. Think of anything. There are places that offer extra classes for homeschoolers for stuff like art, and languages.

I agree... just about anything! If you're looking for a narrowed genre, try doing some crafts that go along with something else the child is learning. For example, if he is studying ancient Roman history, you might try making a toga, making roman food, etc.
