I get by on one. I would say that if you can't pay off your entire credit card debt within two months, you have too much debt.

It all depends on what you intend to do with it. Really all you need is one card with double the limit you intend on using. Say you would like a card you could charge upto $2500 a month on, get one with a $5000 limit so you aren't maxing it out (can put a dent in your credit score) I personally have a discover and a chase visa. Pick a card with benefits you will use and make sure you pay it off each month. If you already have some debt do a search for a 0% interest card or something under 5% and transfer all exsisting debt on to the one and plug away at paying it off. Then get one card for everyday items. Hope this helps but always remember, if you don't have the will power to only charge what you can pay off, don't use credit cards and get a debit card!

It depends. Is this so that you can pay for stuff that you could not afford? If that is so then maybe you should stick with one. However, if it is for credit reasons than 4 is good, never go without a credit card, because then it is hard to have any credit, no credit can be worse than bad credit.

I would say none, but that IS a little drastic. Credit cards can be very convenient at times, but mis-used, you'll be heading for alot of trouble. It's good to have 1 or 2 and keep them in good standing; since that will make your credit look good.

Depends on how much money you make, how you use credit and what you want the credit for. I have about 9 but I use two for my buisness and pay them in full at the end of the month and I really only use one of them for personal purchases and carry a small balance. Also, I used one to buy a used work van. The interest rate they offered me for a one time purchase was 5.9% and cheaper than I would have gotten by applying for a used car loan.

Credit cards are a sink-hole few people ever dig their way out of. Its like owing your soul to the company store.., you never get it paid.

My answer is - "0" credit cards

None, but a visa debit is a nacesity in this credit world. if you don't have it you really shouldn't spend it but if you think you are a selfcontrold person i do know people who only spend what they have in their account, and they get air miles. don't be diluted by this world credit really isn't good
