As you can see it's smooth, dark and does for all tastes. the secret is it spread it thinly onto toast, or put it on toast and then add baked beans, cheese. If you want to get small children to eat it mix a very small amount with butter and put on a thick crust they'll certainly cut their teeth on it. If you have any children at a party spread it thinly in butter on brown bread and put finely grated carrot on to make a sandwich it may not sound good but it is.then you can make cheesy wheels with strips of puff pastry lightly spread with Marmite grated cheese on top.roll the pastry up and cut into circles, Seal the edges with milk cook in oven and you have a yummy snack. I don't recomend it as a drink uck, then you have a cute little jar with a yellow lid to keep things in.I've never tried the squeezy jar so they may have changed the recipe as well. hope you get better acquainted with this little delicacy.

I am a Marmite aficionado, I love it and tried to feed it to my son who HATED it...now I have trained my granddaughter onto Marmite she loves to go and breathe on Daddy...who screams AARRGGHH GET AWAY, GET AWAY!! Which we both find hilarious!
The only way to eat Marmite is to "scrape it on and scrape it off" - that is, spread Marmite very thinly over 1/4 of the buttered toast then scrape as much as you possibly can off, then spread what is on the knife over the whole slice of toast.
That's how to start as it really is a strong taste, though I can now eat it straight out of the jar...
For those who've never tasted Marmite, it's what twiglets are flavoured with.

yes you're right, spread it on toast with butter or even have it with cheese on toast. yummy! have you tried TWIGLETS? (they are like crisps, you can get from any supermarket) and Twiglets taste just like marmite! As Marmite adverts say: you either love it or hate it. You can also spread it on crackers. They taste a bit like veggiemite or Brovril!. It tastes like burnt cheese, savoury, salty, a bit bitter too, but it's addictive! Must say it's weird tasting but worth a try! If you buy a jar of marmite and dont like it, i will buy it off you he he! enjoy the UK!

For me it's best on fresh warm toast, spread with Lurpack butter and Marmite dotted lightly over the top. Heaven

Marmite was invented for people who remain within the Commonwealth. No one else can get the hang of it. The Australians, some of whom think they are Republicans, have Vegemite, but it's not pukkha English. Few things are these days.

You eat t in a thin layer on toast. It is not a very popular product - the flavour is strong and unusual. Some people do love it though and enjoy it every day. Personally I do not dislike it but prefer my toast with eggs.

Firstly don't put on the toast ‘neat’ - in fact the way I like it is to simply mix a little with some butter & then butter the toast with this.
Try this mixture...then maybe you'll like it!

Marmite is delicious in a cheese sandwich. I believe is made from the dregs from beer after fermentation.

You either love it or loathe it, must be genetic, my oldest son, my nephew, myself and my brother all love it, our other halves both hate it. Just don't spread it on too thickly, a little smear of it is enough. On toast is how I mostly eat it, but I have used it occasionally on meat to add a little extra something. I love the saltiness of it (no rude jokes please folks, this is a family show).
