I have a 42 inch plasma t.v. and planning on mounting it on my wall but i'm not sure if my wall will stand the weight of the t.v. since my wall is pretty much wooden but its hollow, so do you think it will still hold or should i have an estamate on it?

Find a couple of studs, They are normally 16 to 18inches apart. One will do but I always hit 2. Remeber to use UL rated wires for in wall use and Both for power and video. Your best and safest bet is to have a professional look the job over. BB will do a consultation for under a 100 bucks and if they do the install its warranteed for a year.

I think its easy to mount I have done a few. but if you have not a clue i would spend the money to have it done right.

Hi,
There are several ways to make this work.
Go to Cheapest Prices Search Engine and search for a t.v. mount and then email the merchant and ask the correct way to mount it.
The second way is to go to Home Depot and ask how to correctlly mount it and also either buy or read the back of the mounting kit. It will tell you how many attachment point and how deep into the beam they need to be.
DO NOT take this lightly. Someone can get hurt or you can break the t.v. beyond repair.
It can be done and it can be done safely. You need to get the mounting kit and then read the instuctions and do not deviate from them.

Depends on the thickness of the wood on the wall. Also, when you say it's hollow, are there no studs in the wall? If there are studs, you will want to screw into those. If they are not in the right place, I suggest mounting a couple pieces of 2x4, ensuring that they are secured into the studs, and then mount your TV to the 2x4's.

It will hold, just make sure you screw the wall mount into a beam in your wall and not just the drywall.
