I'm not really that concern about illegal immigration. If I do well in life when it comes to education/academics and have a decent professional carreer, I don't think that some non-skilled individual can "steal" my job. I don't need the welfare or medicare or whatever "free stuff" the government can offer me. Why not do well for ourselves instead of having our fat ****** in front of the TV and waiting for the government to feed us?

Terrorist are planning to exploit our Open Border policy. If they haven't done so allready. You Cannot claim to worry about terrorist and be for Open borders. That simply doesn't make sense. If Thousands of Illegals can cross our border daily Who can Honestly say that maybe 19 or 20 aren't terrorist bent on attacking America. It only took 19 to pull off 911. So in my opinion Open Borders and Terrorist should be in the same catagory.

If they are not your #1 concern then maybe you should reprioritize....when the terrorist hit NYC roughly 3000 people were killed and our government started a war over it.....with the illegals millions of our identities have been stolen, our education system is in such disgrace bush keeps talking about importing mathematicians & scientist, our prisons are over populated with illegals, wages in the US have been lowered to meet what illegals will work for, Section 8 housing has waiting list for years, and on & on...and our government condones it! This affects MILLIONS of Americans so in your small mind what will have the most devastating affect on life as we know it in the US - the death of 3000 or the theft of the future of millions of Americans? If you all in NYC, LA & Miami don't concern yourselves with illegals then you deserve what you get!
I am in Dallas-Fort Worth we understand the ramifications....

You have more of a chance of being harmed by an illegal then you would from a terrorist. Think about it. As long as illegal continue to flow into the country, so do terrorists. So protect the borders to keep illegals and terrorists out.

I don't think terrorists care who they kill. If walmart or trailer parks have enough people in them, they'll hit it for the sake of a good body count.

Illegals are everyone's concern because look at what lenience says about our concept of private property and the value we put on American exceptionalism? When our enthusiasm for those two foundations of liberty erodes, we are becoming another Venezuela, or Cuba.

Don't believe me? When people don't care who's on their lands as long as some politician soaks the rich and delivers free health care, then we will elect leaders who will take what they care, handout what they can, and when it doesn't work out, they'll resort to the same tactics as any dictator.

Your question is a good one. Thanks

People are constantly complaining that America doesn't give enough to help our own citizens. Therefore, would it not be logical to be concerned that ILLEGALS are using the same social services as our citizens and thus taking money away from poor Americans?

As to your snide comments about rednecks, trailer parks and Wal-Mart - get over yourself you pompus little snot.

both "problems" are a waste of time to focus on while we have a completely corrupt administration with genocidal foreign policies causing the world to hate us and an economic system that is rotten to the core in the form of the federal reserve ... both of theses things are the source of corruption and greed and the other two things are secondary issues that are used by those that are in power and sucking the life out of america to distract you from the fixes that would actually make a difference... all the while they reinforce their stranglehold on power and make themselves more immune to the people by rendering us less powerful ... they just have people beating around the bush blindly and its pretty sick ... illegals arnt threatning anybody and neither are terrorists .. in fact terrorists are mostly a fabrication and the real danger is our foreign policy making 95% of the world want to hurt us ... illegals are just a side issue that needs to be dealt with in a sane and calm manner ... but first lets fix the bad problems ... but wait ... that would be unpatriotic right?

I agree and what's sad is that immigration seems to be first for a good percentage of Americans, but hey who cares about the terrorists, whatever

There has already been evidence of terrorist organizations crossing our southern border.I'm not a "red neck" and I don't live in a lame part of the country. You are a very uninformed person.I pity you when something bad does happen for all you will know how to do is cry to the rest of the country. The terrorists only has to take off his turban, keep his mouth shut and cross the massive southern border and hes in the US.Able to travel to any target area he chooses. They are well financed so they would not have a problem in getting some coyote (smuggler of humans, to your big time city folk) to facilitate his crossing. You don't have any idea how wide open parts of our borders are do you ? Again the stupid seem to BS the loudest. With Venezuela and Hugo Chavez emerging as a staging area for terrorist activities, its only logical to cross the southern border and not the northern one.Watch some news read a paper perhaps you would learn a little .It hasnt anything to do for me with someone taking jobs. Its the cost of this "cheap"labor.

The more than $10.1 billion in costs incurred by California taxpayers is composed of outlays in the following areas:

Education. Based on estimates of the illegal immigrant population in California and documented costs of K-12 schooling, Californians spend approximately $7.7 billion annually on education for illegal immigrant children and for their U.S.-born siblings. Nearly 15 percent of the K-12 public school students in California are children of illegal aliens.

Health care. Uncompensated medical outlays for health care provided to the state's illegal alien population amount to about $1.4 billion a year.

Incarceration. The cost of incarcerating illegal aliens in California's prisons and jails amounts to about $1.4 billion a year (not including related law enforcement and judicial expenditures or the monetary costs of the crimes that led to their incarceration).

State and local taxes paid by the unauthorized immigrant population go toward offsetting these costs, but they do not come near to matching the expenses. The total of such payments can generously be estimated at about $1.6 billion per year.

The fiscal costs of illegal immigration do not end with these three major cost areas. The total costs of illegal immigration to the state's taxpayers would be considerably higher if other cost areas such as special English instruction, school feeding programs, or welfare benefits for American workers displaced by illegal alien workers were added into the equation.

Heres the cost in my state of Arizona
The $1.3 billion in costs incurred by Arizona taxpayers is comprised of outlays in the following areas:

Education. Based on estimates of the illegal immigrant population in Arizona and documented costs of K-12 schooling, Arizonans spend approximately $820 million annually on education for illegal immigrant children and for their U.S.-born siblings.

Health Care. Uncom-pensated medical outlays for health care provided to the state’s illegal alien population is now estimated at about $400 million a year.

Incarceration. The cost of incarcerating illegal aliens in Arizona prisons and jails amounts to about $80 million a year (not including the monetary costs of the crimes that led to their incarceration).

You would have to blind and ignorant not to see the problem.
