I personally believe in the existence of God.
I question religions, so many, if not all ,proclaiming to be THE ULTIMATE TRUTH, large part installing fear of HELL into people's mind to follow those specific rules dictated by their church - religion to be spared DAMNATION. How can any religion which is man made have the pretentiousness to be the right one?.
Why God does not illuminate every and each one of us IF NOT by appearing to us AT LEAST by sending in every one of us , hearts and minds, the REAL TRUTH so we all have the same message and the real choice and freedom to follow the right path.
AND FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE TO HAVE THE TRUTH, or think the Bible gives the answer , how many religions are based on the BIBLE ALONE?
AND Why do they have the arrogance to believe the God has chosen them to be the" ILLUMINATI" ones?

PLEASE IF RELIGIOUS STATE WHAT RELIGION.

Man made?
How could Christianity be man made, A God who defys simple explaination by being a trinity, but still one God. Who comes down and dies for the most worthless of people. Says that he will help us become His sons and daughters. Does not require ANY work for salvation only wants to be asked by you. Haven't you noticed that every other religion assumes that YOU are saving yourself? Christianity is the only one that says God saves you. All other religions have you doing something.

How many religions are based on the Bible alone? two
Christanity and Judiasm. Now I under stand that Jews do not accept the new testement, but I say that the new testement is heavily based on the old.
Any other religion has the "Bible And" like the Bible and the book of Morman.

Christianity is the NOT the ultamite truth...Christ is.
"I am the way the truth and the life, no man come to the father but by me."
And why doens't God just appear to everyone?
One He did His name was Jesus Christ
and He will, but I think you will want to know Him first.
Two, He has He is where you are He is where I am He is everywhere God is Present not as a part of Creation, but apart from Creation.

I had no faith. I tried; I honestly did, but all reason led me to undo any argument offered for the existence of God. There was only one thing irrefutable: direct experience.

I finally got that, twice. Both times were what I later read of "life-after-life" experiences. Once was in a flotation tank and the other time was after a motorcycle accident. The Ineffable Light I experienced gave me unqualified love. It did not need anything from me, nothing. And as I somehow "looked" at my body, The Light was in it as well.

That said, that is my truth. Your mileage may vary. Usual disclaimer. All I know is that I do not need a religion. All I want is to go back to That Light. And somehow I know I will when this body I am in ceases to be. I am kind of hoping to occasionally get back without needing to die, but if that is what it takes, I can wait.

Sincerely offered,
Peace

The answer here is first of all to dissect religion from relationship. Religions are man made yes, but God is not. If one admits that they are a sinner and not worthy of entry to Heaven, they ask Jesus into their hearts and by HIS blood we are forgiven. But a person must 'repent' to do this. If a person is say, off in some remote tribe in the Amazon and has never seen a Bible, God judges them by the conscience of their heart. Did they do the good things vs. the bad things, etc. You innately know right from wrong unless you're cracked.

religion- atheist, not the kind so bent on undermining religion
OK, well it depends, do you want the truth? My reasoning- religion is a political tool used by people to keep the world in order and to prevent utter mayhelm. Also, I beleive religion is a giant loop hole as, if there was a god or some other unearthly being(s) why dont they do anything? if the reason is to see if whoes worth it, then why dont they just create super humans who are perfect in every way to the creator? if its because of trial and error are the creator(s) really that too weak not to do anything about it? if they created the universe why cant they just make it perfect from the start? like I said its a giant loop hole of explainations.

God, like any loving Father reveals to men whatever they are willing to learn. Therefore, some religions have more truth in them than others. One religion has more truth than any other religions. No religion has all truths. Most religions also mix the "precepts of men" with the truth.

But everyone is better off with some truth than no truth. And if God revealed all truth to those who are not ready to receive it. That truth would only condemn that person rather than lift them.

For instance, if God commanded all men not to smoke. All those who smoked would now be under condemnation. So God reveals line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little, there a little, to those who are looking for the truth.

Christian. Although I believe there is a Hell, there is so much more to Christianity than trying to make people fear God. For some, the fear of God is what get's their attention. For me, it is living as Christ would have me live. I don't always succeed. But I try, through He who saved me.

As for the Bible, since Christians believe it to be the Word of God, they use it as their source. Christians believe that each who seeks the truth will find the truth and that God's laws are written on each person's heart.

I know what you are feeling, as I've been there myself. I'm not religious. The truth you seek is simple. It's the truth. We go through life being taught that we are the scum of the earth, and that we constantly have to seek God's divine forgiveness. I present the following in hopes of you seeing a bit of true-truth as it were.

God, by all means according to all christian based religions, is "infinite". The definition of the word "infinite", literally means "encompassing everything", yet in church we are told WHAT God is. "God is Righteous!", "God is Vengeful!" "God is Anger!" "God is Love!", with the pattern being that the people who want to shape your life and thoughts to be molded to a controllable acceptable standard simply set the characteristics of God as they saw fit. God is the gum on my shoe! God is the strain of Green lights!", these are the things we don't see. If god is truly infinite, God is you, and God is me, and God is everyone. Damnation in my opinion is for the people who would use intelligence to persuade people into being controlled for monetary, power, or other selfish means KNOWINGLY. If your intentions, words, and actions are true, simply pick a day, go somewhere alone, and just start talking to God on the level you'd talk to anyone else. He/she/it was there when you ripped that nasty fart, your first swear word, and your first kiss, I honestly think God laughs when we close our eyes and pray. On that same note, I'd like to mention a bit of wisdom I picked up from the bible. Christ said "Be not like those who go unto the temple to be seen as men of God.", and also "When you pray to the father, do so in secret". There are two kinds of people in the world my friend, those who WANT TO KNOW God, and those who WANT TO BE KNOWN as a person who knows god. I hope you choose wisely. :)

I am a Christian, but not a fundamentalist. I believe that God the Father/Son have left earth for now. In their absence, Satan and his angels of darkness have taken over here, and caused all manor of deception, even among God's people. The time of the return of Jesus to earth is drawing near though. When He does get back here, then all truth shall be revealed.

Jesus said "I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life; no man comes to the Father but by me."

So to answer your question, Jesus is truth. He didn't say I am A way, or A truth... He said I am THE way and THE truth! Many people think they can get to heaven however they want but Jesus simply said "no man comes to the Father but by me."

I am baptist and everything I believe comes straight out of the bible. I know many religions who claim to teach the bible but then don't... (i.e. Catholics) not trying to put anybody down though.
I do think that many people talk too much about religion when it's not really about religion but about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Also, many people take the bible out of context. When reading it you have to figure out who is speaking, who they are speaking to, and what they are speaking about before you can decide what it means. Too many people choose one verse and take it out of context but twisting it to make it mean what they want it to. Hence a ton of different religions that all say they believe the bible!
