Both my younger sisters are married... Im the only one who is not married.. My mum use to never get worried about us girls getting married.. but now ever since my sisters did... She started getting worried about me specially after i crossed 30... There is no pressure or anything from her side.. but it bothers me to see her get worried for no reason.. She thinks i spend alot of time working.. How do i explain to her to just relax.. I mean i don't wanna end up getting married for the sake of getting married..

I think you've got the right attitude. I know a lot of beautiful, successful women who didn't get married until later in life. Explain it to her just like that - let her know it doesn't bother you, and she shouldn't worry about you. Tell her just what you said in your question "I don't want to get married, just for the sake of getting married!"

The age you get married isn't important, it is the time you spend married that counts. Too many marriages end in divorce. Obviously the right person hasn't come into your life. The real question is: are you happy with your life? If you are, dont worry. When you get married, two personalities come together and have to learn to live together. There is a lot of work, and it is hard having two jobs. If you are used to your space, it is hard to adjust having to share that with someone else...no matter how much you love them. I am sure you love your sisters, but there were times it took work for you to live in the same house. Relax and enjoy your youth, you have plenty of time to get married, but only can be enjoy your youth once. Travel all of the places you want to see in the world, take some cruises. Chances are you will meet someone....but it is when the pressure comes off that things seem to happen more naturally. I will be 31 before the year is over, and yes I have been married. But I missed out on a lot getting married so young.

it's all good! my cousin was the same way! Her sister (who's actually 10 years younger than her, or about there), got married when she was about 19,20. My cousin was 30, 31 when she got married. Know how she met the guy? A mutual friend. She told Chad he had to go take one of Tracie's classes (she's a pilates instructor), and seriously, Tracie recalled later that you could almost SEE the electricity in the room. She's now been happily married for about 1 1/2 years, and their love hasn't dulled at all. You just gotta give it time. Let her know that when your time comes, it'll come! Also, tell her that since you're not in a hurry to get married, she shouldn't be in a hurry for you to be either LOL

All I can say is pray about it (regardless if you are Christian or not). Probably, God has someone special planned for you, it's just not the right time yet. I'am a 22 year old guy, and I'am single and I hate it, but I know that I will eventually meet someone special. Just don't give up and have hope. I agree with you about not getting married for the sake of being married. Don't get married until you and your partner feel that it's the right time and when you really know each other.

no one is too old to get married, if you are single its just cause the right person or right love has not arived to you. you are still young enough, plse choose for your self and don't make others choose for you, try to explain to your mom that you are not ready to get married right now but maybe in the future if you choose to. In being a single person you have less responsibilities than being maried, you might have responsibility over your parents and no one else but ask you sisters how much responsibility they have in having a family and you will be glad to be a single lady. in getting married you are actually putting one more step on you future life and if you choose a wrong step your life onwards will go wrong. keep enjoying your self.

Don't worry you will find someone when you're ready. There is someone out there for everyone. Just explain that to your mother. She is just old-fashioned, all women used to get married in the olden days but considering the divorce and infidelity rate in this country right now, it's best to wait until you find the right person and not just get married for the sake of it. She will understand...eventually.

OMG! I am sooo sorry! That must suck. Don't listen to the person who said "you must be ugly" cause that's probably not true. Some people get married and some don't. Just think, you will be the lucky one who won't be cheated on, put under the pressure of getting married, or possibly divorce. It will come soon. Good luck!!

You're doing the right thing by not getting married just for the sake of marriage. Your mom probably wants to see you "taken care of', she's getting older so she just wants to see you in a loving relationship.... let her she's your mom, and when you marry, you know it will be for love.

Well it doesn't matter what she wants rly, if you want to be married then you know you have to look for someone but if your happy single then good for you. Alot of beautiful women are single even when they're 30 any way.
