Sure is!! It used to be Montreal but in 1979 when Quebec threatened to separate many BIG corporations moved their headquarters to Toronto ahead of the 1980 referendum vote. As a result the population followed. Now T.O. is slightly larger than Montreal.
Also now the number one language spoken in Toronto is Hindi. (believe it or not) NOT ENGLISH. Goes to show you how diverse Canada is.

Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. Don't judge a book by its cover and dont listen to some of these characters here. English is much more widely spoken than Hindi in Greater Toronto. It is only boring to boring people!

yes it is, 2.4 million in Toronto alne . The GTA is about 5 million.
