If you tip a waitress or a waiter above say 20%, and you are of the opposite sex of said person, will they get the idea that you are just a good tipper or that you want to get in thier pants?

I used to be a waitress, and believe me, I didn't see customers who tipped me well as anything more than really good tippers who must have enjoyed their meal. I don't think any waiter or waitress would be offended by a large tip, as long as the tip isn't accompanied by a lewd pick-up line.

Depends on where you live...In western canada, if you tip a waiter/waitress [of the opposite sex] AT ALL, it automatically means you're interested...

but if you live anywhere else LOL I think the following rule applies:

---If you've been flirting with them all evening and then you end up tipping them say 35%, they *may* (!) think you're interested...
--- If you've been casual and polite all evening and were very pleased with the service you've been given, then I guess you can tip as much as you want and nobody will get wrong ideas...

Hope this helps!!

I don't know it really shouldn't send to much of a negative message. Then again it depends on your actions through the time that they were serving you. It's pointless to "try" and get in the pants if you haven't made a move. At that point it would have been just a big tip.

Usually, a good tipper...getting into their pants would be the tip, your phone number, and your house address. lol

Body language as well as verbal and non-verbal communication will reveal more than your tip. Your tip will help the waitress decide how she'll respond to your advances!

depends on the expression on your face. also the tipping says how good the waiter/ress was.
