I have tried absolutely everything to adjust the settings and I'm still not getting a good picture. I have even looked to see if there is a plastic screen protector to peel off. Can anyone help me get a perfect picture?

To my knowledge, the screens are not shipped or sold with plastic shields and LCD TVs are the best. I purchased my first one (Sharp) in the summer of 2002 and just got a Samsung last month. Didn't know what great viewing was until LCD's (now plus HDTV) so something is definitely wrong here.

Check the following:
Proper installation.
Cable or dish connection.

Hopefully you purchased it from a reputable seller and you are of course under warranty so don't fuss with it any more than you need to. Call them right away and get technical support and it that fails, return the set. It is not uncommon for a defective set to be shipped from the manufacturer.

DON'T WAIT TOO LONG TO TAKE CARE OF THIS SO THAT YOU CAN PROTECT YOUR WARRANTY.

you are probably watching analog cable on the set, if you are, every lcd or plasma tv will look crappy because they really are not meant to be viewed with an analog signal. they are at their best when you have an HD or digital signal connected to it.

is it HD? You have to have HD service in order for the picture to be perfect. Call your cable company and ask.
