I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!
Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:
1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.
There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

Oh dear God, if only I knew.
If your skin isn't BAD, you don't want something that'll dry your skin out. Try Tea Tree products, they're anti bacterial and natural. Use a light moisturizer anyways, just to be on the safe side.
If you've only ever had like one or two zits, then a mild cleanser or maybe even just soap will do, but if you're like me, then you need all the help you can get. Sulfur based soaps, tea tree, salicylic acid, soap, alcohol based toner, witch hazel, all work, you really need to try things out and look for yourself.
If you need a quick fix, wash your face clean, and then use a chilled alcohol based toner (just stick it in the fridge for a little bit) on some cotton, to take down the swelling. Then get a green concealer pen with some salicylic acid in it, it'll say skin correcting or something, Neutrogena makes good ones, and apply that lightly, and put a little makeup over it. Even if you don't normally wear makeup, that's the best way to hide one.
DO NOT PICK THEM. Really. If they open and start spewing puss, rinse them out with something anti bacteria, and keep them super clean or they could scar. Just keep washing your face, and do use a light moisturizer, it'll keep the Ph balance of your skin in order.
Good luck!

This depends on the severity of your face. Try using a gentle cleanser and a non-oil mosturizer. It takes about 6 weeks to see if the cleanser is working, so if it's been a week, and you see no difference, dont switch cleansers yet, wait a longer time. But if your face is getting worse, then it's time to try a different cleanser. Also use a toner a few times a week. Don't use a lot of products on your face though because it can make it worse. Hold off on the acne clearing products.

OK lets be real, acne's a b**** and it's the worst thing to get over but its not impossible. The best thing out there for it right now is Acutane, but, it is not for everyone that's why it is only obtained by a Dr's prespription. Some people tend to be allergic to the medicine, for a few percentage it does not work for, but usually it does, for everyone, even though after you stop using it the acne comes back, like with every other medicine after the treatment is over. It is really harsh on your body though, for women they can't take contraceptives or have kids due to some serious problems that can occur while taking it, other people experience horrible peeling and dryness.
Apart from all this, i used to have acne, apparently not bad enough for Acutane (according to my dermatologist) but it was still bad (at least i thought it was), so i was recommended this over the counter medicine called "Nature's Cure". They have two medicines, one formulated for men, and another for women, and among these they have the topical creams and face washes as well as pills that work from the inside out. I personally tried the cream and face wash. Since i started using it i have yet gotten another pimple, seriously, my face is progressing miraculously, alot of the blemishes are gone, almost all. Smooth skin, it does dry it a little bit but barely, everyone's complimented on it. A few more weeks and my face will be completely clear. To help with this i also get facials done, everyonce in a while to help with the deep cleaning, which helps alot to remove stubborn clogs and blackheads and so forth.
I know not all of these over the counter medicines work for everyone, like myself that i've tried Proactive and Murad and all those things and i actually got my face worse due to them. But this one worked, see if you can find it in a neighborhood pharmacy or drugstore, or supermarket (which some of them also sell them), or online in their website.
About a diet, the main cause of acne is not your diet, eating chocolate or drinking too much soda, it's an old wife's tale, BUT a good diet will prevent excess oils in the skin which will clog pores and cause breakouts.
The main cause of acne are your body's hormones, we can't fix those with a change in diet. For me i go to the gym about 5 days a week, and excercise, this helps your metabolism break fatty acids that may affect your hormone production, as well as providing an overall well being for the body and get you nice and fit, a little blood to the old pump is sometimes the best remedy for current health problems as well as future undeveloped ones.
Stress is another factor that people a lot of the time don't consider, it does affect your acne because too much stress will trigger hormone production in the body and well you know the rest. Try to take life easily, i know sometimes it's hard but you gotta try, for my stress, excercise wipes it all out, and it usually does for a lot of people so think about it.
Well i hope this helps you and good luck with what ever you end up trying.

try cleaning out and detoxifying your system. a lot of times bacteria in your stomach can cause breakouts. They have detox colon cleasing drinks at cvs pharmacies. Dont get the pills because they will constapate you. It's a 2 week process and all herbal. if that doesnt work then im not sure im having the same problem, my pimples cleared with the detox but i still get blackheads

The best way to rid your skin of spots is frequent exfoliation, i use this nivea one and its really good. The exfoliation not only clears the away dead skin cells which can clog pores but leaves your face really soft. Tea tree oil really works aswell. Unfortunately there is no quick fix and you need to really keep up all the cleancing etc... but a good diet of the usual fruit and veg is good for the skin aswell. Especially zinc, vitamens A and C. Drinking lots of water is good for the skin as it hydrates it. Good luck!!
