I just got a maltepoo and i am thinking of naming him FORD my husband and i are big ford lovers (mostly mustangs) is it dumb to name my dog that

You have to name your pet what feels right to you.
Try it out with him for a few days, see how if feels, get him used to it. If you do change it, though, don't wait too long or you'll just confuse your puppy!
Incidentally, I don't see anything wrong with naming a dog Ford, though I am a Chevy girl myself ;)

I think you should name the dog what you like...but if you do cute nick names or talk baby talk the name "Ford" won't really work. How would you "cute up" the name Ford? For-for? Fordy?
What about calling the dog Henry? or Edsel? or just Mustang?

Ford is an awesome name. How many people have a dog named Ford? Besides, believe it or not, your dog should be, and is an image of you.

No it's not dumb. Name him whatever you want.
There are many famous Fords: Henry, Gerald. And of course Ford Prefect from The Hitchhiker's Guide tot he Galaxy. He was a hoopy frood who really knew where his towel was.

where did you get your maltipoo? i have one too! :) i like the name mustangs a lot better than ford. My dog's name is Amber because that's the color of her hair! I like to name my dog after what they look like. I havfe an akita that is black with white paws so I call her panda. e-mail me and tell me where you got your maltipoo!

I have a dog and we named him Rueben James and people were wondering why we choose that but no one ever really cared it is your dog and u think of whatever name u want after all u have to call it that all its life
