Yes it is bad. Too much sugar.

One candy bar, or the like, about every three days is more than enough.

Eating too much chocolate is definately bad for children. The sugar can lead to hyperactivity and cavities, plus it sets the child up to acquire bad eating habits, leading to obesity and diabetes later in life. A little bit every once in a while is not bad, but I would never give my child a whole candy bar at one time or more than once a week. Sodas, too. Bad bad stuff for kids, or for anyone else, too.

Are you serious? I can't believe you are even asking this question. You do know chocolate has loads of sugar in it don't you? Of course it's bad for your children. The only kind of chocolate that is even remotely not bad for you is DARK chocolate because of the antioxidants in it. (and you're not even supposed to eat a lot of that) White chocolate is especially bad for you.

Yes it is bad for many reasons.
1. It's a lot of sugar and it's bad for their teeth.
2. The lot of sugar causes them to eat less of other nutrient that they need to grow a proper brain and bones and the rest of the stuff.
3. You are giving them a bad start with bad habits and they will most likely become like the majority of American population-obese.

Chocolate is a treat and not on the food pyramide. Do them a favor. Tell them to lay off of it.
