I heard it can affect the handling of the car and may be even more dangerous than having four all season tires.

If you live in an area where there is a lot of snow, that may be a good idea. Winter (or snow) tires, should be put on the drive wheels. With a rear wheel drive vehicle, you would put them on the rear, and have regular, or all season tires on the front. With a front wheel drive vehicle, you would do the opposite. With snow tires you may experience some different handling, but as long as you drive in a safe manor, you will not have problems.

If you live in an area that gets only limited snow, then the all season radials on all four wheels will be fine!

It would only effect the handling of the car if you have AWD / 4WD. If you are front wheel drive you will be fine. you want to have the traction on the drive wheels. the wheels on the back free wheel. The only time you will benifit from having snowtires on all 4 wheels for traction is if they are studded. then the rear wheels have a little more bit as they free wheel. You fuel mileage will go down. but hey it's winter it will go down no matter what. But there is not problem with it.

sturdy tires on the rear = sturdy vehicle, yet detrimental overall performance, exceptionally cornering and braking. sturdy tires on the front = volatile vehicle, sturdy braking yet volatile on the same time as braking. sturdy tires on the rear = a new child runs in front of you/a truck drops shipment at you/you stumble upon a pool of grease or a pothole/a vehicle cuts you at an intersection -- and you will no longer provide up in time and hit it at speed. additionally, in corners, the vehicle may be proof against instruct and would slide forward and out of the nook. sturdy tires on the front = you attempt to renounce in a rush for an impediment/you hit a slippery piece of highway/you're taking a slippery nook or a nook that tightens up/you advance up too confusing in a rear-wheel tension = you spin violently. end: there is not any room for compromise. the sturdy tires bypass...ON ALL 4 WHEELS. era! in case you should, get an entire new foursome of four comparable tires -- that's between the main inexpensive vehicle areas and the main needed!

No that is crap, it is better than having 4 all season tires... just not as good as having 4 snow tires. If your car was AWD it would be unsafe.

Just make sure that the front does not have bias ply tires and the rear radial. You should never mix the two. You want to make sure they are radial snow tires.

It can affect handling - I don't know if it's incredibly unsafe - but it is wasteful from a fuel prospective. You're going to waste gas.
