It is a clear musical accent, so much more pleasing to the ears than the North of England accent. It also makes me remember my teachers when I was a boy, most of them were Irish nunnies.

I personally am attracted to many accents, so I'm probably not a very good source ;) but I do love it, it must be the soft harmonious tone **shivers** of course I'm Irish, so that might be a reason, maybe many Americans love it because it's their heritage

It's a language we can understand, but it comes with that crazy sexy accent. It brings to mind green hilly landscapes, fairies, leprachauns, knights in shiny armor, and is rich in history.

yEAH I like it cause its just different. The way words are pronounced and the way the order of the words are. Its just different I guess.
