it's homey...welcoming and friendly...i'm 1/4 irish...my grandfather was irish and his accent was one of the nicest things I ever heard.

I find it one of the sexiest accents around. My first boyfriend was Irish and boy did he sound great. Maybe it is because it is different to Americans. Your greatest differences are sometimes your best assets.

I think because it sounds friendly and laidback, and maybe because almost 1/4 of Caucasians in the USA are of Irish descent.

I think it's neat to listen to; distinct and rare...plus it's very difficult to mimic!
