Part your hair the way you usually do, then section off your bangs or what you would like to have as bangs (make sure you are facing a mirror for the whole process). Use your ring & middle finger of the opposite cutting hand to hold your hair and then cut at an angle. Take it a little at a time, because you can always take off more, but you can't put back what you have already cut. If you are cutting them wet, then allow an extra 1/4-1/2 inch because they will shrink up when they dry. You will probably want to repeat on the opposite side where there is less hair. If they look heavy or bulky, then point cut them. Put the hair in between the same fingers and cut straight up into the hair. This will release some of the hair and help create the sweep look when styling. Just be very careful that you do not cut your eye or fingers in the process. The best idea, of course, would be to go to a salon and get a bang trim...it is really inexpensive even at high end salons. You don't have to get your whole hair cut to get bangs.

OK LISTEN UP!!

To cut sideswiped bangs do not use a blunt cut, which means don't just lop off the hair in one huge slice. You need to use a scissor and run it down each small section, and then go back up 1 1/2 inch and slide the scissors down again until you have cut the peice of hair to the length you want it. Start off with cutting your hair 2 inches above where you want the hair to end. This will create a more natural look. As you go down the slant you must cut each small section of hair a little lower than the next. It's kind of what ppl do when they razor blade cut hair but it takes less skill.

Always allow 2 extra inches longer than what you think you are aiming for just in case you mess up. That way your *** is covered. :O)

I decrease my bangs at homestead and that's SOOO consumer-friendly. it is frustrating to make a screw up area swept bangs via fact it would not could desire to be even. besides, first you would be able to desire to decrease out the bangs. in basic terms comb out some hair and in basic terms decrease off a solid quantity so as which you have bangs, in basic terms make certain it is longer than what length you opt for. then I comb out my bangs and carry them between my index and middle palms (you additionally can roll it right into a twist and decrease into the backside of that). I decrease upwards into them till i'm getting them on the size i decide for. Then I decrease throughout the time of to do away with any stray hairs.

Honestly there are 2 answers I personally just cut my bangs all one lenghth but really long(to my eyelashes or below) then comb them to whatever side I want to. I would recomend this esp. since having bangs can cause pimples because of the hair products. or you could cut them diagonally on what ever side you like Jess was telling you to do. Or maybe have a professional do it and it's very cheap.
