My job is a customer service rep which i type and sit most of the day and am on the phone, but only doing this parttime( 24 hours per week) as i am a college student. I have had pain in my left wrist, but no numbness or tingling just constant pain in wrist. It is aggravated by typing. Any treatments i should try as i have tried ice and heat. I think it may be tendonitis, but it hurts all the time asnd hurts worse when lifting,typing etc. Please advise for treatment options. Thank you very much.....................

first and foremost ,do not ignore the pain

Visit your doctor ;

he will check it out for
repetitive strain injury ( most probable )
or some other tendon problem

he will give you some medication to relieve the pain.
anti inflammatory and possibly muscle relaxants .
and will advise you on how to avoid making it worse .
ie supportive bandage

may refer you to a joint specialist
possibly physiotherapy


Health and safety at work .

report this pain full wrist, to your supervisor at work
this should be entered, in the *accident at work* book
your posture may be wrong , ( office chair),
or the angle you type at is causing the problem

don't suffer and leave it any longer ,
i am sure your doctor will be sympathetic and help you get better soon.

tendonitis and carpal tunnel are two very common wrist issues. They tend to act similar, too.

you should wear a wrist strap to support the wrist
