I know Proactive is supposively the "miracle" cure for acne out there but i tried it for a couple pf months and it made my face a nightmare. It actually got it worse and i thought that was impossible of how bad i had it from the beginning. I know everyone has different skins and some products whether they work on some people they might not work for others, but due to my personal experience i wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Try something called "Nature's Cure". It's an over the counter medication, they usually have in all pharmacies, and i know some supermarkets (the big chains) sell them too. I began using it and in a couple of weeks my skin was completely clear of pimples, i haven't had another one ever since. I still have some blemishes but that's because those are tougher to clear up, but they are and pretty fast too. In a couple of weeks i'll have (hopefully) completely clear skin. Like i said before just because it worked for me does not mean it'll do the same for you, but you won't know until you try. Anyways, good luck with whatever you end up trying, proactive or not, hopefully you won't, ;-).

I have been using proactiv for about five years now. It works so well that sometimes I forget I have a skin problem so I stop using it. Then the acne comes back and I have to start using it again. It took probably about a month total to completely get rid of all acne, but you could start to see results after a couple of weeks. I don't think I noticed anything as far as improvements in comlexion, but they have so many other products to help with stuff like that. They make make-up, body wash and this shine-free lotion stuff that works great. It is the only stuff that has ever worked on me, and I recommend it to anyone!

proactiv is the ONLY thing that has ever completely worked for me! i have been on prescription acne medicines for about 15 yrs, and this is the best!!! It also made my skin glowing and smooth. i loved it. although, i think after a few years, my skin got used to it, so i switched, and nothing has worked as well!

I haven't used it, but my sister has. I wouldn't recommend it if your acne is severe, because it didn't help for her. She had to get on Accutane. Her friends used it, and their skin condition wasn't very severe, but it didn't work for them either. But, you'll only know if it works for your skin if you try it.
