Sounds like you are scared of it because it is the great unknown, you are young, and because you have no control or say on when it will happen. You need to try and accept these things. It is perfectly normal to feel scared of dying. Many people are. The thing to try and remember is that you shouldn't be so scared of dying that you are too afraid to live. Don't take a bunch of risks, but don't stop leaving the house because you are scared. Look at the three issues above and do things that give you control. If you are concerned about what will happen to your children if you did die, then write your will stating what you want to happen to your kids if you do die. You would then be a little more secure about your children's well being without you physically there. Also, take control on how you would want to be remembered. I am not saying plan your funeral, but talk to your spouse/significant other about what your wishes would be. It may turn out that they have the same fear. Talking about it and letting it out is helpful. There are a lot of great resources out there to help you with this. What helped me was talking to senior citizens. I know it sounds silly, but people who are elderly know it is going to happen and are able to cope with that. Many also see it as a natural progression of life. I found that comforting. If you are religious, talk to your pastor. I also think that there are support groups that could help you. Good luck

WOW I am not the only one this is crazy its like I wrote this ??. I talk to my husband all the time about it and he helps me. I have 4 kids and I know thats my fear of leaving them behind when there little and my husband and I start thinking about it.. But I read somewhere that "People who worry about dying, die faster" cause worrying eats at you and people just start to shut down.

I have to think about responably(there is nothing wrong with me in great health) I need to take one day at a time and enjoy every mintue of it and realize that if I do die its ok I will be in good hands and my kids will be in good hands you have to remember that.

Its VERY hard I know, sometimes its hard for me but you can't dwell on it cause it will screw with you big time.

When God made made the first Human couple Adam and Eve,
It was his will for them to "Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and subdue it,(Genesis1:28).God also laid the commandment upon Adam and Eve to partake of every tree except the tree of the knowledge of good and bad and if they did they would positively die(Genesis2:16,17). We know that Adam and Eve disobeyed God by listening to the serpent (Genesis3:4)
Because of their disobedience we inherited their sin and imperfection which leads to death .God has made a provision for mankind to be restored to everlasting life which is through his son Jesus Christ .God promises that their will be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous(John5:28,29). Contact the local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and they can further explain God's promises to you.

Everyone is afraid to die, try not to think about it so much because it will start to interfere with your life and enjoying your family and kids and at that point living will seem just as bad.Just try to forget about it and live life and be happy!!

Ummm, well, you kinda have no choice to but to get over it don't you? The funny thing about life is that NOBODY gets out alive. So, you can worry yourself sick about it, or you can forget about it and get on with your life while you still have it.

You sound like a classic thantophobic.

Fear of death is one of the largest human fears. It paralyzes some and motivates others. Try reading Denial of Death by Becker. The guy had a lot of insight.
