I am 21 years old and my parents are divorced. I got kicked out of my house at 18 and was homeless. My girlfriend took me in and now we have split up. So now I am homeless and have nobody at all. I have been dianosed with OCD, when I was younger. But lately I have been really depressed. I have been to the hospital fot cutting myself once. I have thoughts that I wish I would die (I dont want to kill myself), just thoughts of not living. I am not on drugs nor do I drink. I am just really depressed. But sometimes I get so depressed I get zoned out and dont know whats going on. I get kinda dislutional. Also I have thoughts of cutting myself again. I am a nice guy and look just like everyone else. I have been to get help 3 times and they tell me each time that in time I will be better. But that was 3 months ago. I was wondering if I have something major or if it is just a real bad state of depression? Any advice on how to get better. Note, I have already been for help. Please help.PRAY

Don't drink, don't smoke, don't do drugs. Don't get involved with a girl who does.

Get a job, any job. Go to bed early, wake up early. Make a few good friends and keep them. Exercise when you can.

And get up and do it every day, life will turn around for you.

Well, I hate to say it but. I would not have an ounce of respect for your parents. Sounds like they are treating you like your a mistake your something. They should no it is nearly impossible for a man or a woman to make it on there own unless you have a very good job. And some of these comments in here I could care less about! There are alot of heartless people in this country. I guess you have to have a silver spoon in your mouth to get any respect. Its hard to get a job if your homeless and I know you can get access to the internet in public libraries and places like that. So how some of these people live without a conscience is beond me. You should turn to the church for help! If it is good church and not full of hypocrites, then they will help you! You obviously believe in God! Talk to him and find a church!

I will most definatly pray, right now. I am not a health professional and sometimes you get mean answers. I learned that there is some Doctors and Nurses that will give good, solid advice. Please try to ignore nasty comments. I will suggest to find a shelter, get some food, rest, just try to not act on your hurtful self inflicting thoughts. I'll pray, promise. Diana

Continue to seek help from organizations who help homeless people. Here in Cleveland, Ohio, we have an organization called The City Mission. They help people with all aspects of their life.

Also, actively seek employment and prayer always helps. I have listed some web sites to help you:

For Jobs:
http://www.careerbuilder.com
http://www.monster.com

For Help and Prayer:

I will pray for you. Seek more help. There are people out there that can help you. Believe in yourself don't wait for others to help you. Get involved with something you enjoy, try helping others that always helps me. It sounds to me like you need help with depression, go to a counsling center or maybe a minister. Good luck.

I'm curious... if you're truly homeless, where did you get computer access to access Yahoo Answers?

I will pray for you.
