He will text me instead of actually calling me? I don't understand this? I know it's silly to worry about, but it's annoying. We have good chemistry and good conversation. Does he not like hearing my voice or what? Guys I need your advice on why you rely on text messaging these days to communicate with people?

Because he could possibly enjoy texting more, you think he is cheating on me? Elaborate...

He's screwing around.
1st off, guys don't like chatting on the phone. HOWEVER, guys (at least real men) don't like texting either. It takes too long to type everything out and it's friggin' stupid. So, if a guy had to choose between the 2 options, he would call. But, if he's hiding something, texting is easier. Example, he says he's at home when he's not.

Sometimes guys have a hard expressing themselves and he likes texting doesn't mean that he doesn't love you. However, you have to wonder if he is up to something with all the texting and maybe he doesn't want you to hear. I have been through it when I'm on the computer, when I'm talking to my partner online and then call and then I hear Pm's and then my partner says oh it's nothing. So I'm saying have a open mind to all options. I hope this helps. I'm not a guy but I have a lot of guy friends.

Anyone can text. It is kind of like hiding though, because it loses an element of life. It is sort of a form of isolation. It is always a pleasure to hear the voice of a person you really like. Texting is a little cold. Why don't you text him with what you feel about texting? Just put it right on the table!

Honestly I feel that people who text message use it as a reason not to get stuck in a phone conversation with the other person. I can honestly say I send text messsages to ask my questions and get on with it. My ex use to text all the time. It use to drive me crazy! It wouldn't be just to ask me a question he would try to carry on full conversations. Let him know if it bothers you. If he continues to text incognito he may be up to something. Good Luck!

My BF is the same way. He hates talking on the phone because he can't plan what to say and he can decide not to send the txt if he changes his mind. I've gotten used to it, so when my BF DOES call, I joke about it and we have great conversation. Good luck!

It could be that he is better with texting than expressing himself with words or it could be that he just prefers texting. The only other reason I could think of is that he is being dishonest to you and somehow texting is better in maintaining that dishonesty.

Why not just ask him? You don't have to say it's annoying, just say you are curious.

texting has this ability to communicate without actually talking, it makes it easier for guys to be funny, and sound more attractive in a personality sense, plus shy guys avoid confrontation

It's faster and easier if he's in the middle of something else. I do it all the time! :)
