Why should they? We have a right to protect our borders.

(Instead Of Trying To Stop It)
The USA Should Petition The UN To Sanction Mexico
For 1/2 The Cost Of The Fence

The Only REASON We Need To Build The Fence
Is Because Of The Floods Of ILLEGAL ALIENS
Entering The USA Via The US / Mexico Border

US/Mexico fence well UN can just represent to both the country that putting a fence will makes them at a long distance,or it may cause a problem like Berlin Wall. There are number of ways stopping illegal immigration.Fence is not a solution whatever our lawful representative thinks. You can't stop it manually it's all over the world-Trafficking!UN just has nothing to do with it.Mexico don't say anything about it..cause they knows their peoples very well.

Well the UN Pissed and Moaned about Israel's fence and it went up. The UN has said Nothing about teh wall China is building between itself and N Korea. So my guess would be the only way that the UN might have a say is if the Libs Allowed them to. Otherwise No way.

The UN has absolutely no jurisdiction regarding the southern border of the US. This is an internal matter, and the UN is not welcome to get involved. We can handle the invaders as we see fit, however we have shown a great deal of compassion and restraint in dealing with these people. That is more than Mexico can say about their coyote's.

The UN cant even enforce any resolution they make so what makes people worry about a fence??? I think a fence is stupid cause you can go over, under or around them. Hitler did just that with the Maginot line between Germany and France.

I think we should stop payment to the UN, kick them out, and be done with them. they would fold in six months without the money the US funds them with.

No, both the UN and Mexico and probably several others may
have some complaints & comments but in the end, it is the USA
that either puts up the fence or does not...
No one can stop them from putting up a fence on US soil...

They can make any "statement" that they want, and likely will condemn the fence for one Reason or another. The U.N. is not Our friend. It is populated with as many dictatorial, and despotic governments that maim and murder their own citizens. It does not have the United states' best interests at heart.

The U.N. has NO authority to intervene in matters of internal sovereignty such as border and immigration disputes unless BOTH parties to the dispute invite them to meddle. The U.N. has had no complaint with Mexico's southern border fences and militarily controlled points of entry preventing its own illegal immigration problems on it own southern border.

Nor has it complained when other nations secured their borders with walls, fences and troops.

the UN has authority on international issues. Mexico has no right to refuse a fence since it will be erected on US soil. however, both the UN and Mexico may pursue trade mediations to influence the US decision to build a fence, if it is approved.

however, because it is on US soil, it becomes a US issue. think Berlin wall...

Do you mean "Will the UN have any say in whether the U.S. / Mexico fence goes up"?

I think it's a moot point since the fence/wall is already going up.

What argument could there be against it? Ah, maybe we want more people to die in the desert or get fleeced paying some rip off artist for transit?

Duh.
