Is this Love?

Love is self induced, a self indulgence, the feeling we express for another is our own creation triggered by the initial emotional outburst of the first stage of excitement of meeting someone new. At its most basic biological function it is a survival device, this feeling of elation or love can be sustained but will only survived if the feeling is reciprocal anything else will be doomed. A lack of maintenance during the relationship later on in its progress, when complacency can set in, will destroy any residue of that first magical moment.

Because arousal is a physical and emotional response, the pain and the ecstasy is real to the degree of elation beyond boundary and depression to the point of suicide. Only the strong mind will survive, but the experience is never forgotten, always living at the back of the mind, whilst a little bit of the self die forever.

Love is a state of mind, the imagination takes over and through our on will we inflict devotion on the person, regardless if it is reciprocated, the mind is disillusion into a self belief of happiness and made blind to the obvious, the magnitude of what we feel for the other is bigger than the imagination will allow.

I'm sure that everyone has said "when you find it you'll know" and I know this is a horrible answer, but it's the truth. There's no set in stone way to tell if he's the one. Some tell-tell signs are if you always want to be with him, and never get tired of it. If you would do anything for him. If you can see yourself with him when you're both 80, old and wrinkly. If you honestly don't know what you would do without him. If he is your best friend. Like I said, there's no way for anyone else to tell you if it's real, but if these are in place, and they're real, there's a good chance that you've found it. Good luck!!

You don't have to ask.

You're not going to find the answer here. It's not like there's a solid answer. Each person is completely different.

You have to listen to what you feel about him. He shouldn't be the reason that you wake up in the morning or the reason you are happy.

He should be a very good part of your life, but do NOT make him your life. Become an independent too.

Master Who put it best. I agree totally with that answer. Only you will be able to determine if true love is present in your life. It's not about butterflies, regret for past relations, missing moments, word of mouth, or even provoked emotions. It is truly about internal feeling, gut instinct, so to speak. Only you will know. Luvu.

I know because every time I see him my heart skips a beat and I get butterflies in my tummy, and I just fancy him so much. Then when he takes me in his arms I feel warm, secure and adored. I want to support him and encourage him and accomplish all my goals with him there with me, and I want to help him reach his goals. I want to grow old with him and when I think of any relationships I have had in the past, they just pale into insignificance. We laugh together and cry together and make plans together, and all of those things just feel right. That's how it works for me anyway!!

He told me exactly was I thinking. He said what I didn't dare to say. He was there when nobody else was. He feels the same way. I will do anything for him since he will do and has done everything for me. If I have to live without him, I can keep on living but it will be meaningless.
