Old British love poems; my favorite.

Does the semicolon work?
If not, then what does?

Not technically. Semicolons are used in sentences and you don't really have a sentence since you don't have a verb. But anything seems to go these days and, truthfully, I love your statement. Since your statement is a short one I guess "Old British love poems are my favorite" would be correct but it just doesn't do it, does it? Or should that have been "do it; does it?"
