It is not so much hurting the baby as it is hurting yourself. Even if you don't show that much, your body is changing and you are much more flexible than usual. Your balance will not stay the same either. I think that you will find that taking a brisk walk will be the most comfortable at that point in your pregnancy.
You should talk to your doctor and a trainer to see what kind of exercises are recommended in the various trimesters of pregnancy.

Keeping active is good for you and the baby and it WILL NOT put you into early labor!!!!! ( I get so iritated when I hear ppl say that cause it's just not true) But at some point it will become uncomfortable to you. Just listen to your body.
And if you want to keep active try swimming. They say it's the best exercise for preggo women cause it's so easy on your body. Plus water walking for 10 min. is equivalent to walking on land for 20!!
My doc told me, just about anything you can do while you weren't preggo you can do while you are. His best advice to me was to try and forget that I was even pregnant, at least for a little while =)

I wouldnt. I ran a few feet once when I was 7 months and it hurt. Was not a comfortable thing. Walking is the best. Brisk walking for 30 minutes a day will do.

It's not such a good idea to do rigorous exercise in the last trimester. That can start your labor early.
Best to tone it down a bit and walk briskly. As long as your belly isn't flopping around, it's ok. You don't want to tussle the baby around. More movement in there by the baby can risk cord entanglement. They move enough on their own without you making them uncomfortable enough to have to move themselves.
There are guidelines that your doctor can provide you with approved exercises for women in last trimester.

why don't you ask your doctor about this. What may be ok for some, may not be good for others. I am sure that certain exercising is time appropriate. You wouldn't go on a 5 mile hike 9mos pregnant....so personally, I think you should talk to your doctor as to what the limits are, for your sake, and your babies. Personally think walking would be the way to go in the later stages, just my opinion.......and congratulations.....what a wonderful thing, bringing a new life in this world...my daughter gives birth in February, #4, grandbaby...It is so cool.....

I guess it never occured to you to pay attention to what your doctor told you in the beginning of your pregnancy? Or how about asking your doctor this question? You're asking a medical question to lay people, all they can tell you is from their own expierences, since each human is different their expierences might not be the results you want.

Allot of movement can hurt the baby so try walking instead of running or jogging.

Everything I read is that you should not run/jog during pregnancy - walking or fast walking is recommended.
