I don't know. See Matthew 9 for His own words:
Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
IMHO - nobody is righteous. we have all sinned. He has come to spend His time and love on sinners - not the righteous. Even sinners can be forgiven. If we've all sinned - logically - He has come for all of us - you, me and everyone in the world.

helenoftroy,
Yes. In a way. That is; it depends on how you look at it.
Jesus said that He does not call the righteous to repentance, meaning; those that think they are righteous have no need of Him. And He also said that those that are well have no need of a physician. That is in context to what it is you are saying.
Jesus is the friend of sinners, it is said. Why? Because sinners know that they are sinners, God does not have to knock down the walls of pride with them. They can point to others and say, "look what he did." But inside themselves they know that they are no better.

Jesus loves us all the ame, but if you read about Him in the Bible, you'll find He hung with the sinners more than the righteous, because He was trying to get them to change their lives.

The Bible tells us "there are none righteous no not one". The person who has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour is "declared" righteous in the presence of God. The Word also tells us "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". God loves the sinner(everyone) but hates the sin.

well first thing, we are all siners. Jesus loves us all the same. he just wants to be with the sinners more for he whants to save them. The righteous are already righteous, the sinners are sinners and Jesus whants to make them righteous.

By righteous, do you mean people who have already chosen a life with Him? And yes, He loves all sinners because we are all sinners and He died a hideous death for us ALL! To the person right before me who thinks God is dead ~ that makes me so sad. Her heart must be closed to all that God has done, right before her eyes, she is not paying attention. God is the only reason she still lives to type on her computer...He loves her too!

The righteous come from the ranks of the sinners.
Sinners are righteous-to-be once they accept Jesus in their hearts and minds.
So, I'd have to say that He loves them equally, wouldn't you?

Probably the sinner loves Christ more as he/she knows he/she needs the Lord's forgiveness, whereas the righteous, think they dont need Him.
