Blood pressure normally fluctuates like that. If readings are consistently over 140/90, your doctor will probably put you on meds.

A lot of people have "white coat syndrome". They see a Dr, and their BP goes up. Have your BP checked weekly; maybe by a coach or school nurse. Keep track of your readings. The 130 is okay, but watch the bottom number. It should be 80 or below.

130 is moderately high. If it stays that way, you should see a doctor. Blood pressure is a tricky thing. You can get different readings from one minute to the next. When you get a constant l30, or any other constant reading, see your doc.

Your blood pressure varies minute by minute every day, every person's does. Its normal to have variations like this, but they still shouldn't be high. So believe the high numbers.

Things non-medical that can give high readings, wrong sized equipment, coffee, cigarettes, stress, or exercise right before being measured. Make sure you don't do any of this stuff before the measurement.

Lets think back to why we care about hypertension ... We like to find and treat high blood pressure to prevent long term damage to heart, brain, kidneys, ... the type of damage that accumulates over years. Treating high blood pressure is important but not an emergency.

Low tech ways to get it down, lose 10 lbs [this is the most effective way], low salt, low impact cardiovascular exercise 20 min three times a week.

Its great to get on top of your health, just don't get stressed about it.

It is a little high but nothing to worry about yet, if it gets higher than that and stays then you should be worried.
