It is that you reject the search for him. In concluding that there is no God, e.g., you are putting a lot of stock in your own limited thoughts and experiences, and it is this pridefulness that causes people to reject the search and, by extension, to reject God--i.e., one who is higher, wiser, more powerful, and better than themselves.

If--another scenario--you have sought God and did not find him, and therefore rejected the search, you had put some timeline on your "project" and, because you did not like the results and abandoned patience and hope, you rejected God by abandoning the search. Instead of perhaps calling into question the terms and means of your search, you concluded that God could not be found because you did not receive the particular reward you were seeking in the time frame you demanded. You rejected God's rewards and God's time frame for you.

I believe there is no such thing as you don't know God. You must have heard people talk about God, whether it's personal conversation, television shows, newspaper, or other source of media. People that don't have these privileges also know that they weren't born through animals or other channels, they were created by the Supreme Almighty. Someway, somewhere everybody born into earth have some sort of knowledge of God. How could you really reject Him? By not following His teaching and obeying His commands. By not researching through numerous channels about Him. By failing to believe in Him.

This is a bad argument to use as a Christian to defend the existence of God. People could reject Him because they think it could be a human construction that people use to control other people, like Muslims with Allah, and Pantheists with The One.

On the contrary, there -is- evidence for a omniscient, omnipotent, intelligent, and caring Creator if you just look at the amazing detail and wonder of the natural world.

Democrats reject Republicans without knowing them all the time.
I think there are levels of rejection. All of creation proclaims the glory of God. NO man has that defense. You reject Him because you want to. And you will have to answer for that.

Do you really know Allah? How about Zeus? Apollo? The other 10,000 gods people around the world worship? How can you reject them all without really knowing them, studying them, asking them to enlighten you?

Think for a minute before posting questions like this.

To know God is to accept Him. Man is at enmity with God according to His Word. However once He knows Him through His Son he will never reject Him.

You are right. Ignorance isn't the same as rejection. I believe that everyone gets rewarded by the life they lived. I think it will actually be difficult to get 'damned' to hell unless you consciously and knowingly reject Christ. God is fair and just and everyone is going to have the same opportunities as everyone else.

No one is capable of knowing God. If one claims to know God, then all they are doing is a forcing false perception of the idea of God.
