Well age shouldn't be an issue...especially one year. But guys tend to hold on to our immaturity far longer than girls do. As for not talking...most guys prefer to do activities..(not just sexual)...to keep a relationship close. Maybe you could suggest an activity that you could both do together to spend more time with eachother.

Maybe you're intellectually, emotionally and financially way ahead of him? and maybe you remind him of that fact each time also? If he feels stupid he's gonna be not as willing to talk. I'd say look for a more mature boyfriend.
