I'm leaving England tomorrow. Going back to America and seeing life in America very differently now that I have had the opportunity to have been to 13 other countries since I've been gone. It seems like a entirely different place now that I have had several outside perspectives.

What a week I've had...so busy...very anxious, a little nervous, and the first time I will see my family in a few years.

What do you think.....of change?

Hi Corey,

Not everyone is afraid of change but most people face it with reluctance and a certain amount of fear. We get in ruts, in comfort zones and tend to stick there, whether or not it is a good place to be. One aspect of the physical existence is inertia. We tend to stay put unless a force acts upon us to make us move. Spiritually, we have so many opportunities to explore, to experience, to reach out and do things, to take risks and garner wisdom along the way. It'd be nice if we could all live our lives with no regrets so that when we move on we can say, "I did as much as humanly possible, experienced lifetimes of joys and ups and downs, and touched the lives of many along the way." This rarely happens without some change taking place on an almost continual level. It sounds like you've had tons of experiences being so many different places and meeting so many varied cultures. Way to go!

Safe travels! It'll be great to hug your family again :-) Take a deep breath and enjoy the next part of your journey of life.

Remember God does not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of hope. Without change, we would never grow or learn, and life would be so dull. Look at change as an exiting thing, a chance to do new things and experience new things, and see life from other angles. You have had such opportunitty to travel that most of us have no. these are memories that will last a lifetime. Make the most of them, and hold on to your memories. we can expeirence life very differently in other countries, etc. but it doesnt have to change it. It can if God shows us it should. Only change what God shows you to change. and learn to see other people where they are, and to love them and pray for them, and only take on the good from new people that God impresses upon you. Maybe you are to lead others to change... Noone has all the answers. See yourself as possibly going to help others to see us differently and maybe they can also change some. Learn from them, and let them learn from you. How exciting. You are very very blessed. Have a great trip.

My typical first reaction to change is "****." Closely followed by "son of a *****." And then "****."

Then I get used to it and it's all good. Or not as the case may be.

And then there are times when I long for change, traumatic change. The kind of change represented by the Tower in the tarot. Just to shake things up.

So there you go.

Change can be easier if you're able to shed any expectations you may have about the change in question. If you can go into a new situation with an open mind and open eyes and ears, it may be easier. Just don't expect anything to be as you expect it to be.

Change is the only constant. Most people fear change because of the unknown. We don't if life exsist after death therefore we fear dying. If you have faith your fear will be tempered by the belief all things are under God's control IE you will be OK.

Being in another country makes you appreciate this country even more.....

I believe if we are honest, most of us as humans are really not partial to change. We enjoy things to remain the same. Just pray about it and ask God to take away the anxiety. Everything happens for a reason. Good luck and God bless.

Change is hard whether it be a new place a place you haven't been in awhile relationships etc. The best thing to do is pray and try to find the positives in whatever situation you find yourself in. Remember where you are is where God wants you to be.
Best wishes

Without change, there is stagnation. With stagnation, there is death.

I hope you've enjoyed your time in a civilised country, and you can take a little of it back with you.
