I would write "At roundabouts give way to the right!" and stick in the window behind the drivers seat.
My pet hate is not indicating when turning or indicating and then NOT turning...AARRGGHH!
I use a mobility scooter and the amount of times I have been nearly run over by a driver doing the above is beyond counting.
I tend to sit at the kerb and wait until there is no traffic, which can take some time, but I'd rather cross safely than die trying!

Basic rule of thumb at roundabouts, give way to the right - and if some dick head pulls out on you onto the roundabout always aim for the drivers door, if you can maim them, so much the better.

put it to the department of transport they must have a web site somewhere as this is a good idea.
Also i live in Milton Keynes and we have 380 main roundabouts and 460 mini roundabouts so send all those idiots here to learn how a roundabouts work. All the best..

You don't say where you are. Obviously not in the UK where priority does go to the right (traffic in the roundabout) but everyone instinctively knows how to negotiate them.
If you are in the US, you have it wrong, however. Traffic in the roundabout -- traffic on the LEFT -- has the right of way. Traffic entering the roundabout (that's YOU!) must yield!
If you're in Europe, the "Give Way Triangle" as well as the double broken lines should be painted on the roadway surface in the lane that is required to yield.

Not only wrong, but unsafe and possibly illegal.
Your sign may distract someone just long enough to cause an accident, or it could even impede their vision.
If that's not enough for you, there's a little known law in most places that would prohibit you from doing what you'd like to do.
I understand your frustrations, but just pay attention at the roundabout, and drive defensively. Stay safe.

In answer to your question it would be wrong to do it, yes.
I think roundabouts are really badly placed and people seem to have no idea how to drive on them (although it is second to driving on a 4 lane motorway, I think you need to be taught how to do that on your driving test).
I'm not sure writing to the council will help much as they decide where to put them in the first place, but it can't hurt.

You should give way to vehicles already on the roundabout, not nescessarily those approaching from the right.
Or else you will lose on the roundabouts what you gained on the swings

If you just stick it there the local council may just simply remove it just like ads for clubs or sofa sales etc.
Instead try the local councillor to take the road safety issue up and talk to the local Police. They have road safety issues they raise regularly with Councils.
There should also be a local road safety organisation.
Since we don't know where you live it is not possible to be more specific.
Good luck

I don't think you should put your own sign up, it could be a distraction and cause, rather than prevent, an accident.
Write to your local council and let them know that this particular roundabout is dangerous, they might be able to put traffic lights on it or something else to help.
