The goal of the Catholic Church is to establish the Kingdom of God on earth as it says in the Lord's Prayer - "...thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven"
The Kingdom of God is a kingdom in which the will of God is done and there is peace, justice, and mercy for all people.

Sustenance. The Catholic Church as been through some difficult times. They will never die out as a religion, but they do hope to be restored to it's importance within society and peoples lives. Many people have grown to doubt the Church and need a boost of Faith. This is done through consistency, reinforcing beliefs, and missions of reconciliations.

The goals of the Catholic church and the goal of individual Catholics may be widely divergent. Many individual Catholics are faithful, God-fearing Christians who are doing the best they can to serve God and their fellow men. They are honest, courteous, pleasant, cheerful, respectful, humble and kind.
The goal of the Catholic church, however is to undo the reformation and gather all people under her wing with the Pope at the head. This is called ecumenism. The fact that she is using political reasons for this union does not excuse this power grab. It is against the clear council of God to unite with this antiChrist power. Unity with the Papacy is disloyalty to God. And the world wondered after the beast whose deadly wound was healed and all the world worship the beast, except for those whose names were written in the book of life. There can be no unity of Christ with antiChrist. Babylon is fallen. Come out of her my people.

In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus gave the goal of the Church to the Apostles:
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
With love in Christ.

To amass power and wealth and control as much of the population as possible through catholicism. and also lately to sexually assault young children and especially altar boys.
Why Vatican is in Italy??? It really confused me, I thought the center of Christianity should be in Jerusalem (the land owned by Palestianian) but invaded and taken by the Israel (the scum).
