I have built relationships with people. Shown them the love of Christ by meeting their needs. By them seeing the love of Christ in me they want to come into a relationship with Jesus.

Since I am an American Muslim woman living in a "rural town", I use a lot of comedy to break the ice, it helps people to get past my scarf and see that I am just as human as them.

Like
1. Telling them I taught my daughter to make her first bomb, with diet coke & menthos. ( We really did do this)

2. If I do something stupid I say "oops, the scarf is on too tight again, it's cutting off the circulation to my brain."

3. I own a small convenience store, and a few of my regular "old farts" refer to me as the "camel jockey girl", I went to a fair where they had camel rides, so I had my daughter's picture taken on one. The picture is now on my counter top.

Usually when someone gets comfortable they will ask questions about why I chose Islam, or my beliefs. I prefer that they ask me questions then they stay in the dark with stupid stereotypes.

Laughter is ALWAYS the best policy.

It has been said that your actions speak louder than your words; hence, people will listen to you if your life is so radically different from the life that modern culture and the media advertise.

The way I share my faith is by living according to what He desires. It is very difficult, and is something that I have to ask Him to help me with everyday, but if I strive to make God the most important thing in my life, people will begin to see that something is different and attractive about me and will ask questions.

Simply by living a Christian life. Only on occasion do I have to actually use words, and that is when my faith bumps into what others want of me and I cannot oblige.

For instance, at work they would tell profane jokes, and I would just walk away. For awhile they'd make fun of me, but slowly they changed, they stopped making the jokes, at least around me. It was only later that someone told me how much that one little thing affected him, because he saw how just living my faith was a witness to him.

I share my Faith, when I see and hear it is needed. When someone is down and out, or when someone needs a helping hand. Depression in many people needs some positive , happy helping words, and I give Thanks Unto the Lord, that He has instilled in me the Wisdom to know when and where to share my Faith.

well usually if you start by telling them explicit passages or proverbs from the bible and talking like if you were a book or a know-it-all , the listener will just push back and move away from you. He or she will feel like a religious bombard have felt over them. So the best to do, is just talk in a natural way. Telling ho you feel, and the importance of God in everybody´s life. Remember that God acts in mysterious ways, but he sure makes it clear when speaking to men.
good luck
ps. see you in heaven!!!

Pray that the Lord will open up every opportunity with those you have concern for, that he will allow you to share your faith and give you all the answers you need. It works!!, and it is amazing to see how the Lord works and the answers He will give you that you thought you either forgot or didn't know!!
Good luck & Lord Bless!

I usually don't discuss my religious beliefs with other unless they specifically ask because I tend to be judged for being Agnostic. I discuss my beliefs more with my friends here on Yahoo! than I do my friends in 'real life'. If someone is willing to listen, I am more than happy to discuss what I believe in. But I've often found that most people don't care to understand - which is a shame but not a loss of mine.

I use the precedent set by Christ in John 4 with the woman at the well and Luke 18 with the rich, young ruler. Give them the 10 Commandments.
