Might be sinus drainage. You could try sniffing a little weak salt water. If it is drainage, that should help. Gross, hurt?? yes. But might help. Also, if it is in the throat, rather than sinus drainage, might take a taste of salt, that might cut the "stuck" feeling. Just a thought. Good luck. (yes, I have done the salt water up the nose)

Classic sinus drainage. I have had 2 sinus surgeries, and I know this like the back of my hand. you dont always cough, either.
Lots of water and hot drinks can get rid of it, a humidifier, as if your draining, and it feels like it is staying in your throat, it is because you are a bit dry. When you got to sleep at night, dont lay on your back, on your stomach, otherwise you will develope a cough, you could gag and throw-up in your sleep, or you will develope a sore throat. be sure to keep a drink by your bed. And, get some sudafed, aka decongestant... Will definately help you. And take your allergy pills, too...

Fur Ball, Hack it out. Hack, Hack!! and then spit it out. As for
your cold just go to your medicine cabinet and check to see
if you have cough medicine. If not go to your nearest pharmacist
and get some cough med. They have different types so make sure you read the label.

I get that sometimes. I think it may be acid reflux. Do you ever get heartburn or indigestion? I've heard it could be the from stomach acids backing up into your esophagus. If the feeling persists, you may want to make an appointment with your doctor.
