I'm going to the beach early tomorrow morning, and I was wondering if there's anything i can put on my hair that will help lighten it in the sun? I think I heard that lemon juice helps lighten the hair in the sun, but I'm not too sure. Any ideas? Would be helpful if its just something easy to find at home, and natural of course! My hair's dark brown, slightly auburn. Thanks!

Thanks for the comments on Sun In, I was wondering how it lightens, does it go like a really light blonde colour or does it go light brown? Thanks!

Lemon juice only works on light coloured hair, apart from dye I don't think there is anything to lighten your hair with the sun.

Try buying sun in at your local walmart or taget. It works wonders and it is safe to use on your hair without stripping it like lemon or peroxide. A little goes a long way. So dont over do it.

Have fun at the beach!!!

Get a product called "Sun In". I used it when I went to the bahamas. It works pretty good. You just spray your hair with it before you go to the beach. You can buy it at a beauty supply shop or I believe Target has it.

Becareful!!!

Sun In is awful for you hair. It is straight peroxide which is the harmful chemical in hair dye.

You are better of just dying it. Sorry!!

That and the lemon juice would turn your hair orange if anything.
Goodluck!

It does artwork yet you do might desire to place it on your hair once you're going out into the solar. No you will no longer see a dramatic substitute in the beginning up yet once you do it some cases it is going to tutor. I honestly have tried merely putting merely the lemon juice in there and it did no longer artwork without the solar.
