It always amazes me of how evil the world has become yet everybody thinks God and his son Jesus are so proud of them and will allow them entry into heaven. Remember Faith without WORKS is dead. Have you visited or sent any money to someone in jail? Have you visited anyone in the hospital? Who have you fed or clothed besides yourself and family? I do respect people who admit they are lost and looking for the path but to those of you who claim your saved and sanctified but have nothing to show for it you will be beat with MANY stripes.

How come all of you dont answer my previous question? God is watching. Quick to tell me to read revelations but I am a biblical scholar and a true friend of GOD and man.

Read Revelations. He came back a thousand years ago. You are part of the dregs left behind.

Keep up the good works though, it may shorten your time in Hell for being so judgmental.

When our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ comes back he isnt going to chose disciples, He is taking the ones that know Him and followed Him up out of this world and God's wrath will be sent down on those left behind who rejected Him as Lord and Saviour. We are saved by grace, works cannot save, though if you believe in Him, you will do the works He did.

Well, how about I just obey the Word of God and walk with Him and do like the Bible says and not let my left hand know what my right hand is doing in obeying that part of the Word of God? If I'm not going to tell my left hand what I'm doing then why on earth should I tell you???

And, for me, heaven is not a foregone conclusion. I'm not one who believes I can live wrong and die right. As far as I'm concerned, wherever the tree falls, there it lies.

Now as to what you're addressing about what other people are doing and/or not doing, how about working out your own salvation with fear and trembling letting God be the one at work in you both the will and to do for His good pleasure - and how about letting Him be the one at work in others too? I don't know about you, but I find enough to fill the day just walking circumspectly before God and taking my own inventory. Has it ever occurred to you that God told us not to judge each other because the gig's not up, and we can't see the beginning from the end like He can? Is He a big enough God to handle His own children and set them straight? All that we're supposed to be doing about others is praying for each other, speaking the truth in love to each other, and pulling as many as we can out of the fire when we see them headed for destruction.

The Parousia, second coming, means there will be a thousand years of Peace. Jesus will reign. I am not seeing my Lord beating anyone with many stripes, the ones that did not do their good works will surely get a chance to do them. The poor will always be with us! . God is love. He is merciful and kind. And He knows His children.

I am not worthy of being a disciple. No one is. Salvation is a free gift of God made possible by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and His subsequent resurrection. When I turn away from my old life and turn to a new life with Christ, I am automatically saved, not through anything I've done, but what Christ has done for me.

None of us are worthy, but the Lord promises us " Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shall be saved" he works we do is not what gets us to heaven, it's believing in Christ. It says in Eph 2:8-9 "For it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith---and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works , so that no one can boast" That is what makes us worthy, His word and His promise!

If Jesus shows up in my lifetime, I've got some real serious questions for him. For example: what was all that business with peace, love and tolerance about? Nobody does it. So what was the point? And can I call you Junior?

I am not worthy...

However, I am covered by His grace.

I am also going to the county jail this evening to lead a Bible study. What are you going to be doing?
