There is no such thing as a "teacup" Chihuahua (or any other breed for that matter).They are simply a Chihuahua that is either the runt of the litter or bred smaller then the standard for the breed. Beware of breeders who sell/advertise "teacup" pups/dogs these are not responsible breeders, nor are they breeding for the betterment of the breed. Dogs bred smaller then standard often have serious health issues..heart, kidney,liver defects, structural deformities, seizures, etc.
If you want a Chihuahua look for a respoonsible breeder who breeds for health, breed standard, etc..who does health testing (not just simple vet exams), researches pedigrees thoroughly and adds back to the breed not just produces puppies and sells with gimic ads.

tea cup chihuahuas are runts of the breed. they are NOT recognized by the AKC and the people who breed them are cruel and irresponsible. do not continue their funding by buying one of these runts. they come with many health problems and many die during labor. if you buy one you will be swamped in vet bills for the rest of it's short life. Shame on the rest of you people for condoning this!

Tea cup chihuahu's are generally pricey. You could try look on various pet sites on line - might have to buy from a breeder. Greenbrier mall sell's all kinds of dogs at the Family Pet Cetner but they are pricey (usually a thousand and up). Check craigslist.org look under pets. Also check hoobly.com and the local paper online - hamptonroads.com
