Anorexics have a psychological belief that they are fat, so they stop eating. However, they have a distorted view of their bodies, so they'll never see how skinny they truly are. A size 00 girl with anorexia will see herself as a size 30.

Bulimics, on the other hand, purge themselves after they eat, i.e. they force themselves to throw up. They typicall binge eat and then throw it back up. The stomach acid actually destroys their teeth. They don't have a distorted view of their bodies; they just believe that as long as they eat, their bodies will get nourished even if they throw it all back up.

Anorexia is a term used to describe a person who refuses to eat and starves themself. A bullemic is a person who gorges on food and then makes themselves vomit in order to empty their stomach. Neither of these is advisable as they have horrendous effects and even death as a side effect.
