Several times I've noted that people who have put challenging statements or questions in this forum have cut themselves off from being contacted. I find this very confusing. If you would like to engage in a dialogue, doesn't that imply a flow in both directions? Are religious people too unsure of themselves to have a follow-up question posed?

Please don't assume I know...it is only that these questions arise when I find people seal themselves off behind the door of total anonymity.

By the way, I have gotten email from exactly 2 people on Y!A. Some others have contacted me through my 360 page, but not through here.

If someone gets email through Y!A, their personal email address remains confidential.

I used to but I got stalked and threatened by a few religious fundies as well as some dumb kids with too much time on their hands. I finally put the kibash on that.
So I can understand why people disable that option.

I know what you mean ...i don't understand why they take part in challenging members.. when a member can't keep the dialogue going with a follow up question..
It's nonsense really ..hardly worth replying to members who are not allowing contact ..I try not to get involved with them...

I agree with you. They can always have a junker yahoo email acount. But I too see that the worst filth comes out of people who can't be contacted. It just a one way conduit. Thankfully the regulars are easy to contact.

I would never block from being able to be contacted.

It makes me just as frustrated, I can't stand when I want to email someone a question on what they had just posted, or just respond to what they posted...and it's blocked!
Grow up, and deal with it, ya know?

They want to open their mouths, but are afraid of backfire.

i understand what you are saying. i don't expect anyone to believe the same way i believe. we are all walking the path we are suppose to. for all those who let loose with the monkey dung, it is only their fear coming through.

i was raised in the church of christ however i no longer go to a denominational church. i do not believe in religion as most of it is created by men.

i do believe in spirituality and the holy persons who have come to this earth from time to time to instruct us. the dung throwers have a right to walk their path just as i do. it is best not to allow oneself to get caught up in the dung so to speak.

if you wish to email me feel free. GRACENLIGHT@CS.COM.
i do not have yahoo email. many blessings, anglerose

You can e-mail through the profile .
you can`t e-mail the person directly .
That`s a good thing with all the zealots and religious extremists on this site. Most don`t want a debate. What they want is to indoctrinate or judge the answerer.

I have no problem with people emailing me. I feel that everyone is entitled to their opinion, and if they feel it neccessary to contact me as long as they can be respectful just as I would be with them, then I have no problem. If some people want to hide, well thats there choice as well.

Some people may not realize that they have to explicitly adjust their profile to get emails on Y R&S.

I would never put my email address for public use. Too many strange people on these boards.
