You obviously *did* mean to use this forum in the wrong way, because you knew you were, and did it anyway. Let's not kid ourselves.

Yes mack I believe in the power of prayer, but I also believe that the body and the spirit is quite capable of healing itself. Can you elaborate on what illness you have. I also believe in the power of touch, in which I have helped many who suffer with chronic illnesses with touch, and positive energy. You can also do some creative visulalization by imagining that your own touch will heal you. The only limits placed on god is the limits we place upon ourselves. I wish you well. And remember doctors do not have all the answers all they can do is speculate and give pallitive forms of treatment without healing the source.

Oh Mack, I wish I could give you a hug but here's a prayer.
Dear Lord, I lift your child Mack up to you right now and I pray that you would intervene and touch him Lord. I ask for relief from his agony and peace in his heart. I pray that you would bless him with a great sleep and surround him with fellow believers who would minister to him. In your name Jesus, Amen :-)

Theres an interesting story of Prophet Muhammad(PBUH)
A guy came and park his camel beside a tree and went off. Muhammad(pbuh) ask him why don you tie your camel to that tree? he replied," I have faith in GOD that HE will safe guard my camel." Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) then says, " No. Tie your camel 1st to that tree THEN have faith in GOD to safe guard your camel."

This story applies to you my friend. It seems that you are mentally disordered. Seek help from doctors that are professionals in your condition. If that doc can't help you find another doc. Take some medicine the doctors prescribe THEN you have faith to GOD. No matter how much you pray God wont help you if you don help yourself. Sleeping is important. No prayers in the world could make you sleep. There some sleeping medicine which could help you relax. Take that then have faith and pray to GOD for your recovery.

God knows what you know not. I wish you well.
