i started dating this guy and it has been great so far no problem at all but he came to my house yesterday and forgot his backpack. he just told me he will come back by me to get it since it had some important paper in it. well it was court paper explaining why he had probation and that he commited battery and simple battery on a FEMALE. for one i dont know what simple battery is but should i confront him on what i know or leav it be?

do you know what the important paper was because you went through his stuff?
if so, you really can't say anything if you want any kind of trust in the relationship. but i guess that would make you untrustworthy as you went through his stuff.
anyhow...just ask him what the paper is for. if he lies, you'll know not only are YOU untrustworthy, then he is as well and end it there. it'll be more comfortable for you both in the long run.

Confront it because first, he needs to know you're a snoop and second, he may have a reason behind it. SOMETIMES a girl tries to beat up a boy or something.
