You have two things to check. First, the owners manual, these engines are designed for a specific octane rating. Second, whomever performed the reprogram, or the unit instruction that you performed the reprogram with.

If the programmer doesn't require an octane change then you'll go with gm's original octane rating. Other than the program you have no mods that would require an octane change.

91 will give you the best performance, and is usually recommended the best for higher performance engines. 88 is also acceptable. Check your owner's manual to make certain that you can go either way. Some cars are recommended for 91 ONLY while others can do either or.
