which shops sell the cheapest digitial camera,what price am i looking at ? early xmas present for a kid so dosent matter bout make or model.

I would go with a digital SLR. I currently have a Nikon D100 and love everything about it. Nikon has some lesser expensive models, D50, D70 and I think they have a D40. There really isn't that much different between the models. If you are wanting to take snapshots but have the ability to change your focal length, I would go with a D50. You can buy it with a kit that comes with different lens. The great thing about Nikon is that you can use any Nikon lens with it, so you are not stuck having to buy a new lens for the camera.

The Kid Tough Digital Camera from Fisher Price is a good camera for the youngest of photographers.

comet do a samsung 5m pixal for £89 its a great camera and it will do video with sound. i also got a 1gb memory card on ebay for £15 . that will hold about 1000 photos or 20 mins of video. hope this helps

i saw some today at walmart that are around $100 dolars and they do look nice most are 5 megapixel i saw one for $90 and most are around $100- $125
