Depends on the thickness of the glass and the velocity of the bb, which calculated with it's mass gives you the kinetic energy. If the glass is thin, it may very well penetrate. Haven't you seen bb holes in sliding doors? If the glass is thick like car windows, probably not.

Sure it can. I used to shoot bottles off fence posts when I was a little kid with a bb gun.

Some bb guns are more powerful than others.

p.s. I once shot my friend in the @ss with a Crossman American Classic 1377 on two pumps. He was pissed, but it just stung a bit.
