My girlfriend thinks is wierd I eat steak with ketchup and also that I eat all my food seperaltley instead of mixing them together when on my plate. Am I just a little OCD or do others do this?

Not at all, my brother used to put it on his peas and carrots...
I know someone that puts salsa on nearly everything and my husband refuses to eat eggs without Tabasco... Everyone has different tastes, just make sure you have more food than ketchup on your plate.... :-)

As for the eating things seperately...Lots of people do this so they get to actually taste what it is their eating. If you wanted to eat everything together you would have had stew or a casserole where everything is supposed to be mixed.

Ok, I can't just eat steak or chicken without something on it. Not necessarily ketchup, but something. And if I get a burger and fries for example, I eat the fries first and then the burger. I kinda thought I was the only one who did that, because people think it's weird. But since you do the same thing, that makes me feel a little better. Haha.

I have a friend who eats cottage cheese with ketchup on it, now, THAT'S weird! Some people can mix any foods together and eat it just fine, because "it all ends up in the same place anyway", but not me. I can let certain things get mixed together but not everything. I don't think you're any weirder than any one else. So just eat want you want, how you want, and don't worry about what other people think.

Everyone's got their own likes and dislikes, especially when it comes to food. Is it weird what you do? Maybe in some people's eyes. But it's just because they think anything besides what they did is just not normal. However, on a side note...ick!! But hey, I know others that do it too. I won't even use steak sauce - if a steak is done right nothing else is needed.

And I really don't like my foods touching either.

I don't think it's weird, you just have a preference. I don't eat catsup on much of anything - I like hot sauce. Others prefer steak sauce.

As far as whether or not you have OCD, you might if you eat one portion of food (til it's gone), then another, etc.
I have OCD, but not too much when it goes to the food on my plate, I don't think. I do things like count, wash my hands, stuff like that.
However, I believe that a sandwich has to be prepared a certain way - like any spread has to make it out to the crust, blah, blah, blah!

Have you been watching "Monk"? lol j/k
Maybe separating all your food is a bit OCD, but I'm sure it's harmless. Don't worry about it.

As far as the ketchup on steak, I've eaten that & I think it tastes awesome! cheers

Its not weird at all. Everyone has their idiosyncrasy's. In my opinion putting ketchup on food takes away the enjoyment of the food. Plus ketchup is full of sugar.

I like ketchup on my steak too. It has the basic ingredients of steak sauce.

Guilty. Unless the steak is cooked to my perfection I will put Ketchup on it. I also put it on chicken, roast and scramble eggs.
