My GF broke up with me about a couple wks ago after dating for 1/12 yrs. She said she wasn't ready for a serious relationship and needs time to work on her inner issues and uncertainties. Throughout our relationship she has assumed that she wasn't good enough for me. I reassured her everytime how wonderful she was and how lucky I am to have her in my life. She says that she doesn't want a relationship with anyone and doesn't know where she wants to be emotionally and mentally in her life at this moment. I've treated her like a queen and gave her everything that I thought would make her happy. I'm having a hard time understanding why after 11/2 yr relationship she started having issues. Is she afraid of being serious? She did mention that she never reconciled her broken heart from her previous relationship. Her ex treated her bad and I know he's not in her life. Should i try to be a friend or should i avoid her completely? Our pics together are still up in her place. I'm lost......

I am in the exact same boat, man, and it's sinking fast! She tells me that I deserve better, that she loves me but she can't be with me b/c she's only going to hurt me. All I can say is give her as much space as you can bear to give her. Call her just enough so she doesn't forget about you.
It's seems selfish and childish on her part I am sure. But she has got some comittment issues to work out. And only she can do it for herself.

Your GF needs time for herself as for now I would be the supportive friend although you love her if she is not ready and has issues that she needs to work on then let her work on it and while your being supportive she will see what a good kind patient man you are and will go back to you it will work out in the end

She probably not used to any guy treating heer so good. She probably loves you but it is probably weird to her. She will realize what a mistake she is making and come back. But maybe it is good that she is taking some space now, instead of getting you guys to the point where you fight all the time and end up hating eachother..Good Luck

i think that u should still be ther for her then sooner or later she will relaze that she has it good but. i bet you that she will relazie what a great boyfriend you are.
