heck ya, they can, I work at JV Hall, I see them all the time, but you did say Children? what do you mean? kids as in under 11 or over 11, I see them all the time over 11 most counties don't like to lock up kids that are under 11 years old because the older kids will have a very negative effect on them, unless the younger kids has done some kind of violent crime, but the JV Hall is full of bipolar, add, adha kids

It all depends on what they did to be held in detention in the first place, then it would have to be looked into. Are their conditons well documented through their doctors? If not you could have a real problem. Even if their condition is know, it is unlikely that they would be released based on that. They would be transfered to the appropriate facility for futher evaluation. Good Luck!

Yes. Either way, if they commit a crime they should be locked up in some sort of detention center be it jail, juvie, or a hospital. And if this child is your child and s/he hasn't committed a crime, please be certain that you are providing the proper care and supervision!!

I guess you could always lock them up in a psych ward.

SOME FAIR BETTER IN THAN OUT--BECAUSE THEY CAN'T OR WON'T SEEK HELP ON THE OUTSIDE.

It depends on their actions. If the children's conditions are being adequately managed, probably not. However, if untreated, and they are violent, it's quite possible.
