Last Friday, I asked a boy to Homecoming. He said yes. Today at the end of class, I saw him sprint out of the room, which was a bit weird. Then a girl approached me and said "Look,___wanted me to tell you that hes going with someone else to Homecoming. I dont know that much about it. Sorry."
The whole grade knows I was supposed to go with him. And now they'll all know I was stood up. Im really hurt and my self esteem is
no longer. What do I do? I feel like the world's ugliest and dumbest girl.

that's rough, i'm sorry that happened to you. first of all, i'm sure you're not the ugliest or the dumbest girl. i think it took a lot of guts for you to ask that guy to your dance, and he was a wuss for not being able to tell the truth himself. Go and find yourself a nice cute boy to take to your dance, make sure you look hot that night, and don't give that loser a second thought. You're better than he is. Don't let him get you down.

Be glad you didn't waste your time with someone so inconsiderate and uncaring. I'm impressed you asked him in the first place! I was too shy to ask any guy out in high school, so be proud of that. Don't play the victim - HE was the one who was wrong here, not you. Do not take this personal, it's about HIM, not you. PLEASE remember that. I know it's so hard and feels like your world is crashing in, but just fake it if you have to! Put on a smile, ask someone else, act like you don't care and it'll blow over. People will only talk if you're seen around the school crying or devastated or talking about it all the time. Everyone will be concerned with someone else's life before too long, that's just how high school is. Before too long, you'll look back and laugh at how this could have mattered so much to you. I promise!!!!

I know how you must feel. But any person that would change their mind and send someone else to tell the other person is pretty low. Don't feel bad, feel relieved. A lot of people take a long time in a relationship to find out that their partner is a jerk. You got to find out before you invested any time with this guy. And now that you're free, you can go with whom ever you please. Keep in mind, he's the one that ran out on you. He's the loser here. Get all dressed up and go to homecoming. Alone if necessary. And have the time of your life with your real friends. Don't let him win this one.

I am really sorry. That hurts. The best advice I can give you is hold your head high and ignore it. Is their a friend you can go with instead?
I know this is hard to believe but when you are out of school you will realize it didn't matter. kids are mean especially girls. That guy has no class-he should have told you himself.
He is not worth it or is anyone that makes fun of you for it.

You don't need him, that was very messed up of him, and understandably are hurt but don't let it stop you from having a good time, Ask someone else, or ask around and I'm sure someone will know someone that would love to go with you. Go, have fun, and forget about that jerk. Believe me, people aren't going to talk and you have no reason to be embarassed.

The thing about self esteem is that it comes from yourself. Think of all the positive things you have accomplished. Ask another guy and go to the dance and do things you like to do. Get a box of icecream.

you asked a guy and another girl came up and told you, sounds like this guy has women all over him. Forget him and the rest of the grade, why don't you ask one of the quiet shy, guys in one of your classes. Just because you feel ugly and dumb doesn't mean that you are. you'll find someone if you want to.

well reesie007 try and catch up with this guy and get him to talk with you about this and ask him why he culdn't come to you himself. i know how you feel i had it happen to me all the time when i was in school.
there will be plenty of time for you to date, this is just one of those school things that means something now, but later down the road you will wonder why you even wanted to go out with him in the first place.
keep your chin up and don't let the this get you down there are alot more guys out there that will be knocking your door down to ask you out and this guy will be sorry that he didn't keep his date with you.
{CHIN UP} and don't worry about what ever body else thinks. it is his lose.

it may seem tough, but i promise you, it's not a big deal in the long run. Fact is the guy said yes. He's the one that should be embarassed. You're better of without him. Just ask somebody else....
