Yes, I have always been irregular, but I also suffer from Irritable bowel syndrome, so I can go from one extreme to the other, you don't by any chance feel tired a lot or feel the cold, because that could be a sign of underactive thyroid, but if you have always been like that I wouldn't worry.

There are many reasons this could be happening, I would see a Dr or a nutritionist , better yet both. You could be dehydrated, make sure to drink 8 8oz glasses of water (not soda , tea or other sugar laden beverages they actually make the problem worse)Your diet may be the culprit. Believe it or not you could have a food allergy that is causing this. To self test for a food allergy you need to do an elimination diet like the one in "Back to Eden" a great book on managing food for health. It is amazing how food allergies can react in the body not every allergy causes sneezes or hives some just slow your digestive tract and cause less b/m or some speed it up and cause more. Anyway this is a very important concern and you should take care to avoid artificial stimulants because they don't correct the problem just relieve the build up. Good Luck!

The rule of thumb is that three BM's a week is the least number that is considered healthy. Have you looked at your diet? Lots of fibre in the form of fruits and veggies and whole grains. AllBran bars keep me moving along too. Tons of water to flush out your system, too. If you feel full, or if your breath is bad, or if you have hard BM's that are uncomfortable to get out, those are all signs that things are not working as they should. Start with diet, and stick with it, because if this has been a problem for a while, it will take some time to sort out. If you need to move things along, try colace or lactulose. Those are stool softeners, not stimulants, so they are easier on the system. Use as directed.

There are alot of people in the same boat as you. It's no fun. Being a nurse I have to keep track of patients bm's. If a patient doesn't go in 3 days we give Milk of Magnesium (on the 3-11 shift)and if that doesn't work in the next 3-11shift we give a suppository. If you buy some make sure you keep them in the fridge. Another way to clean yourself out get the spice Cream of Tartar and mix 1/2 the jar with about 1/4 cup of gingerale. stir real good.get another glass of water to chase it down with. the next day you should feel like a new woman. Hope you feel better. :)

Oh boy where to start. First yes fix your eating habits. you know this stuff, fruits, veggies, grains, and a lot of water at least 2 quarts or more a day. try taking an herb like cascara sagrada or senna. if you have ever had any surgery then you might have scars, also holding off your movements till later is a no no. If you keep going like this you could end of with a blockage in your intestines then you will be in the hospital. get rid of the flour stuff too. stick to the grains in am any juices that are one hundred percent like trader joes. and the herbs if all is still not working and you are still in pain head for the doc asap

rnot everyone goes everyday. I know 4 people that go 1 or 2 times a week! I personally would be sick.
If you are really concerned, use Benefiber. you can put in just about anything because it's tasteless and it doesn't reek havoc on your system like a laxative does! it just helps add fiber to your system.

I actually have the other problem, I go every couple of hours. Pretty much everything I eat just goes right through me. But if you don't eat a lot of meat or heavy foods then you won't have to go as often. I don't think there is anything wrong with you, unless you are having pain.

If you're not going, it isn't healthy. If you are eating regularly, 2-3 meals a day, then you should be concerned. Eliminate white flour, rice, bread, pasta etc. from your diet completely. They are extremely binding. Start eating whole grains and whole fruits and fibrous green veggies exclusively to roto-rooter your insides. No fast food garbage processed foods. If you don't want to be proactive, don't complain about your cramps and feeling unhealthy. You must combine exercise with this diet of wholes foods and you will jump start your bowels.

some people do have 2-3 days in between. Weeks may be getting into an issue. Make sure you are getting plenty of whole graines and fiber. Lots of water and exercise. It may just be you. Ifyou are feeling uncomfortable try something like mirilax. it is a sup you put in your drink and is very gentle.

What is normal for one person doesn't have to be normal for someone else. Some ppl go 3 times a day, that's norm for them, some go once a day, some go every 3 days. I would definitely talk to may doctor if I were you, just to make sure all is well. You are probably fine.
